Absolutely! One charity will receive the major award, and the two other presenting charities will receive smaller awards. Regardless of who you voted for, you will receive a tax donation from one of the three charities. Tax receipts will be issued directly from the charity to the donor. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) highly recommends charities issue receipts by February 28 of the calendar year following the donation.
As our goal is to make a large donation on behalf of the whole group, the short answer is No. This is the power of individuals united for a cause! We also need to be able to track your donations so that you get credit for the donation and remain an active, vote-eligible Member.
